Another day, another Kerry

Lunaris did not wake up in a good mood, I'm pleased to see. That's when she does some of her best work.

... then why in the f**k are you voting Kerry? Stupidity? Bush isn't perfect. But as a leader, Kerry scares the hell out of me. It's like I said when I woke up this morning...

"Another day, another Kerry."

Go read it all, then bookmark her site if you haven't already.

Wow...I was serious when I typed that, but when you quote me, it actually looks somewhat comical. ^_^'

Yes, Yes, I am stupid. Although apparently it is not genetic. Must be a product of my liberal Texas upbringing.

Isn't it possible that two people might examine the same set of facts and come to two valid conclusions, depending on their values and circumstance?

Hmm. Guess not.

Lunaris, meet my daughter. Needless to say, she and you might disagree about some things you and I agree on. I'll be emailing her try to smooth the waters.

Heheheh, sweet girl. ^_^' Regardless of political standing, it's very nice to meet you willowfae, Bill's daughter.

And to an extent, disagreements are the spice of life. Like it or not, if we didn't have disagreements, then we wouldn't have blogs, we wouldn't have progress, and we wouldn't have war or terrorists.

But that'd be a pretty bland life, wouldn't it?

I hereby state for the public record that I love my daughter very much and I do not consider her stupid. Yes, it is possible for two intelligent people to look at the same set of facts and reach different conclusions. Comparing her blog with Lunaris' or Max's proves that point pretty clearly, I think. I don’t think my daughter is part of the group Lunaris’ blast was aimed at, and I hope she’ll read the whole post instead of just my excerpt and realize that herself.

I am never offended when someone disagrees with me, or even when they think I am an idiot. However, I try my hardest to fully understand the point of view opposite my own instead of just regarding it as obvious lunacy. It helps me to solidify my viewpoints and learn more about myself by observing my reactions. It is the blanket condemnation of the other side that offends me, but only in a philosophical sense. And my daddy (the illustrious bdfaith) did a good enough job convincing me of my genius that it is impossible to make me feel stupid. No harm done. :)

I just read the whole post, and I wanted to say that I thought it was very well written, and I definitely respect her opinion.
PS: I'm not a democrat and I don't support abortion, so I guess the stupidity comment wasn't pointed at me after all. :)

If I had thought the stupidity comment was aimed at you I wouldn't have excerpted the post and Lunaris wouldn't still be on my blogroll. I'm glad to see we're all friends now.

I just removed my previous comment do to typos.

Heheheh, I see we both share that problem. Typos in comments are bad. They should have an 'edit comment' button for a blog's admin...
