Trackbacks for Blogger users

I've mentioned in emails to a reader or two that the Wizbang Standalone Trackback Pinger is a very useful tool. Unfortunately, it seems to have been unavailable for the last day or so, so I Googled alternatives. After wading through dozens of hits for the Wizbang pinger I found one to Simpletracks. I just tested it and it works like a charm, at least with Haloscan (which I highly recommend as a way for Blogger users to receive trackbacks.)

If anyone knows of a free alternative to Haloscan that will email me when someone sends me a trackback, would you let me know?
